Robin Sharma says that we are all meant to shine. He inspires us to live our passion, and fulfill our unique purpose on Planet Earth. That sounds great, but how does one go about finding one’s mission? How will we know what steps to take so each of us shine?
I discovered my joy through focussing my thoughts every evening on the happiest moments of my day, and writing down what it was that I was involved in that made me feel vibrantly alive. Certain tasks and activities created extraordinary feelings of fulfillment within me. As I made a practice of daily journaling, patterns emerged that became my guiding light.
As Tim Kelley says: When you are doing things that are in alignment with your purpose, it feels very different. Your soul gives you positive feedback. This usually means you feel fulfilled, passionate that you are making a difference. Things happen easily. Chance coincidences seem to support your goals and projects. Your efforts produce results, seemingly with little effort.
Further he says, “If you are like most people, when you are out of alignment with your purpose, you find obstacles at every turn. You have to muster up energy and will to complete things. You are not satisfied by your accomplishments, or the satisfaction is fleeting. You wonder why you’re doing what you’re doing and imagine greener pastures. Life is dry, empty and full of drudgery.”
The key therefore lies in listening to our hearts, and dancing to its beat.
